Audience

    This addon gives you fingertip control of the 3d cursor. May be helpful if you model mechanics or architecture. But feel free to try it out and see for yourself.

Features

  • Blender 2.53b
  • Cursor Memory
      Save, recall and swap one 3D cursor location. Saved location is shown in the 3D view if chosen to.
  • Move cursor to (Object mode)
    • World origin
    • Center of active object
    • Median of centers of selected objects
    • Mirror cursor around saved location
  • Move cursor to (Edit mode)
    • …all operations of object mode…
    • Selected vertex
    • Median of selected vertices
    • Closest point on line defined by selected edge or two selected vertices.
    • Closest point on plane defined by selected face or three selected vertices.
    • Closest point between two lines defined by two selected edges. This also sets the saved location to the other lines closest point.

Issues

  • The draw and undraw of the saved location does not update properly when clicking the checkbox the in the titlebar.
  • Does not work in local view. (Suggestions are welcome).
